Plastic processing shrinkage problem is one of the most common problems in plastic processing, the surface quality requirements of plastic products, shrinkage is a tricky problem. So what is the reason for the formation of shrink marks in plastic processing?
The reasons for forming contraction marks in plastic processing may be one or more, including processing methods, component geometries, material selection, and mold design. Where the geometry and material selection are usually determined by the raw material supplier and are less prone to change. But there are many mold manufacturers on the mold design factors that may affect the plastic processing shrinkage link. Cooling runner design, gate type, gate size may produce a variety of effects. For example, a small gate, such as a tube gate, can cool much faster than a tapered gate. Premature cooling of the gate reduces the filling time in the cavity, thereby increasing the chance of contraction marks.
For forming workers, adjust the processing conditions to solve the problem of plastic processing shrinkage of a method. Filling pressure and time significantly affect contraction. After the part has been filled, the excess material continues to fill the shrinkage of the compensating material into the cavity. Filling is too short will lead to increased contraction, will eventually produce more or larger contraction marks. This approach to plastic processing shrinkage may not, in itself, reduce the shrinkage to a satisfactory level, but the molding worker can adjust the filling conditions to improve the shrinkage marks. |
